This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which Echo collects, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from users (each, a "User") of the echoprayer.com website ("Site") and/or the Echo mobile app ("App"). These policy applies to the Site, App and all products and services offered by Echo.
We may collect personal identification information from Users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Users visit our site, register on the site, sign up in the app, use the app, and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources we make available on our Site or through the App. Users may be asked for, as appropriate, name, email address and individual preferences. Users may, however, visit our Site anonymously. We will collect personal identification information from Users only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. Users can always refuse to supply personally identification information, except that it may prevent them from engaging in certain Site or App related activities.
We may collect non-personal identification information about Users whenever they interact with our Site or App. Non-personal identification information may include the browser name, the type of computer/phone and technical information about Users means of connection to our Site, such as the operating system and the Internet service providers utilized and other similar information.
Our Site may use "cookies" to enhance User experience. The User's web browser places cookies on their hard drive for record-keeping purposes and sometimes to track information about them. Users may choose to set their web browser to refuse cookies, or to alert them when cookies are being sent. If they do so, note that some parts of the Site may not function properly.
Echo may collect and use User’s personal information for the following purposes:
One of the core features of the app is the ability to share prayer requests with individuals or groups. These features are optional, and it is possible to use Echo simply as an individual tool with no sharing. By using any of the sharing or group features, you are purposely allowing others to see content that you've created in Echo. You should take care when choosing what to share and with whom, since your prayers may be personal.
There are also messaging features build into the app. Using messaging or commenting is optional, and you should take care to post only information that you want others to see.
We adopt appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your personal information, password, and other information and data stored on our Site or in the App. All information is transferred over secure, encrypted SSl/HTTPS transport protocols.
We do not sell, trade, or rent Users personal identification information to others. We may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personal identification information regarding visitors and users with others for the purposes outlined above.
We only retain personal information while there is a business need for it. We do store IP addresses for security purposes (as one measure among many to protect against and/or track unauthorized access). We store IP addresses only for as long as we have a need for them. If at any time you revoke your consent for us to store your data, notify us at [email protected] and we will permanently delete it.
We adhere to the requirements of the GDPR (European law protecting consumer data and privacy). We apply a privacy-and-security-first approach to our systems, and we regularly assess that risk. In the event of a data breach, we will notify authorities and users within 72 hours of our knowledge of it.
We do not share any personally identifiable information with third party services. We do use a limited number of third party services for uses such as analytics and crash reporting. Any third party companies only have access to aggregated or non-personally identifiable information, and we only use services that are GDPR compliant.
Echo has the discretion to update this privacy policy at any time. When we do, we will revise the updated date at the bottom of this page. We encourage Users to frequently check this page for any changes to stay informed about how we are helping to protect the personal information we collect. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this privacy policy periodically and become aware of modifications.
